EASY MOVES FOR ACTIVE AGEING training

Are your exercise classes meeting the needs of participants?

EASY MOVES FOR ACTIVE AGEING (EMAA®) training supports staff and volunteers involved with exercise groups for older adults.

EMAA® is a two day competency based training course of demonstrations, practical sessions and assessments presented by physiotherapists.  EMAA® leaders are trained to conduct safe exercise programs, with a focus on core exercises for flexibility, strength and balance.

The training includes a comprehensive Manual for ongoing reference.  All EMAA® leaders receive ongoing support from AAA and are offered opportunities for regular updates to reinforce and enhance the skills learnt in the initial training.

Dates:    Tues 8 & Wed 9 October 2013 (8.45am to 4.30pm)

Venue: New Hope Baptist Church, Blackburn North,   Catering is included.

Please note that due to changes in HACC training funding, this course in October will be the only opportunity for EMAA® training in Victoria for at least 6 months – so don’t delay, register now.
